In addition, candidate will assist in the preparation of the grounds areas for events and competitions throughout the year. Candidate will operate a variety of powered equipment (riding and hand-held).

| Assistant Athletic Director - Major Gifts | Job Requisition Number: 8013| Hiring Unit: Development |
Job Description:
Reporting directly to the Associate Athletic Director, Development, the Assistant Athletic Director - Major Gifts is responsible for managing the Major Gifts Programs of the University of California, Berkeley Athletic Department. In this capacity, he/she directs a staff of major gift officers, who identify, cultivate and solicit donor prospects to the University, defined as individuals considered capable of giving $250,000 or more. In addition, he/she is personally responsible for coordinating all cultivation and solicitation of a portfolio of at least 125 major gift donors. | Job Responsibilities:
The Assistant Athletic Director - Major Gifts supervises major gift officers in managing the nation-wide campaign volunteer structure and in developing ongoing plans for the major gift programs. He/She evaluates results of programs and other efforts of the major gift officers as well as their success in meeting specific fundraising goals. The Assistant Athletic Director - Major Gifts is expected to play a key role in developing and implementing volunteer and staffing plans for the major gifts program.
The Assistant Athletic Director - Major Gifts is the senior development strategist on the major gifts team. In this capacity, he/she serves as a mentor and advisor to major gift officers in the athletic department in developing and implementing cultivation and solicitation plans for major donors to the university. The Assistant Athletic Director - Major Gifts works with the Associate Athletic Director, Development, Senior Staff, the leadership in the central development office, and the campus units to establish fundraising goals for the major gifts program. He/she devises funding strategies for new projects in consultation with campus administrators, volunteers and donors.
The Assistant Athletic Director - Major Gifts must develop original funding strategies tailored to the University's wealthiest and most important donors and prospects. He/She needs to take experience gained from earlier solicitations and apply it in new and original ways.

Job Description:
The Licensing and Publications Coordinator will report to the Publications Manager. The position is part of the Athletic Marketing Department team. The candidate will assist the Publications Manager with the creation, design and project management of collateral pieces used to drive ticket sales and enhance the Cal brand. The position will also assist the Asst. Athletic Director for Business Development with artwork approvals for the domestic licensing program and assist with licensing strategy to enhance the Cal brand and grow retail sales. | Job Responsibilities:
Domestic Licensing Program - 50% A. Oversee the online artwork approval process for the domestic licensing program. Ensure licensees are using approved artwork on merchandise intended for resale. B. Assist with communications and strategy between our domestic licensing agency (Collegiate Licensing Company) and the approximately 300 licensees approved to use Cal marks for resale. C. Assist with the development of marketing plans for merchandise sales on calbears.com and at athletic events.
Graphic Design - 40% A. Design and production of marketing materials used to support ticket sales, such as brochures, magnets, schedule cards and posters. B. Design artwork used for video board production during athletic events. C. Design and production of event signage, sales and promotions flyers, calendars. D. Production of artwork needed for web advertising on calbears.com or in athletic department emails, such as banner ads and buttons. E. Production of print ads used in newspapers and other local publications to promote Cal athletics. F. Assist with production of artwork used on promotional items given away at athletic events.

The Coordinator of Aquatics Operations will be responsible for various operational and administrative duties and tasks in support of Cal's four (4) Aquatics programs. The Coordinator of Operations will report to the four (4 ) Head Coaches, but will also take direction and assignments from Assistant Coaches within the four (4) programs, as well as the Sport Supervisor who oversees these programs. This position will work in a fast-paced environment and will be required to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities. Coordinator will act as liaison with other Department staff members to provide information and facilitate program operations. | Job Responsibilities:
A. Travel 1. Assist in coordinating arrangements for team travel, including but not limited to hotel arrangements, ground transfer, practice facility approval, game credentials, itineraries, practice times, meals, etc. 2. Assist in coordinating/booking air travel with Department travel agent.
B. Facilities 1. Serve on Pool Scheduling Committee as liaison for programs on all scheduling-related matters. 2. Work in conjunction with Pool Facilities staff to oversee all maintenance, custodial and upkeep issues for facilities.
C. Team Administration 1. Complete forms, provide information, and serve as liaison to various Department staff members regarding student-athletes, recruits, and staff, including admissions, financial aid, and housing forms and applications. 2. Assist in coordinating donor activities with Development Office, including correspondence and acknowledgements.
D. Recruiting 1. Under coaches' direction, coordinate recruiting activities, including managing data base, mailings, and arrangements for official and unofficial visits, and recruiting gate list. 2. Create and maintain recruiting files.
E. Gameday Event Management 1. Prepare game/meet information, game/meet schedule. 2. Contact opposing coaches for away game information.
F. Special Events Special events include but are not limited to pre-season games, donor events, tournaments, and post-season play. 1. Negotiate, secure, and implement arrangements for special events including but not limited to, site inspections, travel, hotel arrangements, etc.

This is an Administrative Assistant II position processing accounts payable in the Business Office for Intercollegiate Athletics | Job Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the payment reconciliation of all of the department's procurement cards. This includes verifying receipt, correcting coding, accruing use tax, matching invoices to daily statements, etc.
This position also assists with other accounts payables for the department. This involves doing things such as reviewing and submitting invoices for payment, preparing purchase orders, verifying receipt, processing reimbursement requests (including travel and entertainment), and coding all transactions for financial reporting.
This position also has specific office duties that include filing, copying, data entry, faxing, emailing etc. This position must work closely and communicate effectively with UC Disbursements, outside vendors, coaches and administrative staff to insure the business of the department runs smoothly. Our office is very team oriented, which requires everyone to know the basics of coworker's jobs in order to provide backup and help wherever needed.

Job Description:
The Executive Assistant to the Athletic Director manages and organizes the day to day mechanics of the Athletic Director's communications, schedule, and office operations. This position manages the Athletic Director's schedule both internally and externally and acts as the primary liaison between the Athletic Director and the Office of the Chancellor, Associate and Assistant Chancellors, University Relations, Public Affairs, Legal Affairs, the Academic Senate, and the Schools of Business and Law. This role has direct contact with major donors to the University and to the Department and requires a complex understanding of the development and fundraising components of the major departmental campaigns. The incumbent will be called upon to exert extreme sensitivity and judgment in highly confidential matters. | Job Responsibilities:
A. Executive Support 1. Manage all communication received by the Athletic Director (AD) including, phone, email, and letters. 2. Create and draft correspondence for AD. When needed create and draft athletic department related correspondence for the Chancellor's Office. 3. Manage complex calendar for the AD 4. Plan and organize functions hosted by the AD, including departmental and donor meetings, game day events, social functions, etc. 5. Coordinate travel arrangements for AD, this may include air, hotel, ground transportation, directions, etc. 6. Allocate AD's allotment of tickets and game day credentials and manage requests from major donors. Keep accurate records of all requests. 7. Organize and prepare documents as necessary for the AD. 8. Plan and organize departmental retreats. Responsible for agenda, retreat materials, site/locations, caterer, etc.
B. Analytical Support 1. Manage AD's budget. Create the budget annually, and monitor all expenses against that budget. 2. Prepare reports as required.
C. Other 1. Supervise 2 FTE and student workers 2. Other tasks as assigned by AD.
