Donors can give to the annual fund by check or by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover).

• To give via check, download this form in PDF format. Checks should be made payable to "UC Regents" and mailed to Cal Athletic Development, 195 Haas Pavilion, Berkeley, CA 94720-4422.

Stock Gifts
All stock gifts are handled by the UC Berkeley Foundation. Donors interested in giving stock should contact the Athletic Development office first at (510) 642-2427. Athletic Development will put donors in contact with the UC Berkeley Foundation to receive the correct instructions for the donor's broker. Notifying Athletic Development first ensures the donation is credited to the correct Bear Backer account, the donor receives the correct benefits and acknowledgement due, and the donation is deposited in the donor's desired fund

Matching Gifts
Matching gifts can be applied to the donor's Bear Backer giving level for benefit purposes. The percentage of the matching gift varies depending on the company's matching gift policy, and is not always a full 100% match. Any credit will be applied to donor's record on the date the matching gift form is received by Athletic Development. It is the donor's responsibility to ensure the appropriate level for specific benefits has been reached before any applicable deadline.

Gifts in Kind
Bear Backers accepts gifts in kind in cases where the gift offsets operational or budgetary needs. All gifts in kind must be approved by the Athletic Development office prior to being made.
